- DWYER, THOMAS (chron.)
- DWYER, THOMAS EARLE (chron.)
- DYALHIS, NICTZIN (Wilstone) (c1873-1942); English-born world traveller and adventurer, remembered only for his weird stories. He may have been born a few years later, and his original name may not have been Dyalhis. Died in Salisbury, Maryland (?).
Sam Moskowitz claimed that Dyalhis was born in Pima, Arizona, in 1880, but these data cannot be verified, and are semi-contradicted by a statement made by Dyalhis, who in 1922 claimed to be nearly fifty. Dyalhiss science fiction involves altered names (Earth becomes Aerth; Venus, Venhez), and it has been conjectured that he was born Dallas and similarly altered his name. (chron.)
