          The Red Book Magazine — USA; May 1903- (title modified to Redbook in Jan. 1930); Short Story Company, renamed Consolidated Magazines Corporation (1903-1929), McCall (1929- ); monthly; standard format, initially 10¢, became a big slick from Oct. 1917; editors Trumbull White, Karl Harriman, Ray Long (1911-1918); an all-fiction magazine, its early authors were little known, but later included Ellis Parker Butler, Octavus Roy Cohen, George Allan England, Gilbert Parker, Albert Payson Terhune, Edgar Rice Burroughs.
