Animals’ Guardian The Animals’ Guardian, subtitled “A Humane Journal for the Better Protection of Animals”, was a slim monthly periodical published by the London & Provincial Anti-Vivisection Society. Its contents were primarily non-fiction and wide ranging, from anti-hunting through criticism of the use of animals in warfare to condemnation of vivisection and other inhumane forms of medical research. Fiction was occasionally published, as detailed below.
