Fiction Quarterly (Canada) [Spring Number (March-June) 1942] (American News Company, Limited, Toronto, 25¢, 512pp, pulp) Proof consists of two oversize staples that bind together the four pulps, in the gutter between pages 130 and 131 you can see the other staples that bound the remaindered magazine. [RH]
- · Thrilling Detective; The first pulp is a coverless Canadian edition pulp, probably Thrilling Detective. Leaf [129-130] of this remaindered pulp was removed and the new leaf glued on. The paper is distinct from US pulps and appears to be identical to the paper in other Canadian pulps from American News Company, Limited, Toronto. Clearly this Canadian edition was using continuous volume numbering, so this should be #2 in the volume.
