The Scary Book ed. Joanna Cole & Stephanie Calmenson (New York: Morrow Junior Books 0-688-10654-4, 1991, $12.95, 127pp, hc); Collection of ghostly tales, poems, riddles and tricks intended for children. Heavily illustrated. Contents are predominantly poems and illustrated text, including a section on games. Only story of note is “Wait Till Martin Comes” by Maria Leach. Includes poems by Jane Yolen, Joan Ciardi, Rose Fyleman and e.e. cummings.
