        Reprint (Robinson 1998 as The British Monarchs) record of Britain’s kings and queens over 2000 years of history. This is a revised and abridged edition of the work (not by Ashley, but under his supervision). The abridgement mainly consists of reducing the early British Kings from some 300 pages to 30 pages.

A quite incredible tome detailing in depth the lives of nearly 1000 rulers of Britain; including genealogies, maps, timecharts, odd facts, trivia, and an index to the lot. Dr. Julian Lock is mentioned as editor on the flyleaf.

        Non-fiction, a look at Hugo Gernsback and his influence on SF. Ashley covers Gernsback, while Lowndes surveys the fiction published in Gernsback magazines. A hardcover edition (-1054-5, $49.95) was announced but not seen; the trade paperback edition is officially scheduled for 9/04. This includes a general index, notes, bibliography, and appendices with reminiscences by Charles D. Hornig and indexes to speculative fiction in Gernsback magazines.
