[]Operator #5: (about)
A character pulp. The lead novels are all SF but the back-up stories almost never are. The novels from June 1936 to March 1938 are sequential and tell the story of the “Purple Invasion.” Another sequence, featuring an invasion by the “Yellow Vulture,” was begun in May 1939 and had not been resolved when the magazine folded.

[]Other Worlds Science Stories: (about)
Raymond Palmer launched Other Worlds Science Stories in November 1949 as a fiction counterpart to his major magazine Fate, which focused on UFOs and the unexplained, shortening the title to Other Worlds in November 1952.
After running into financial problems, Palmer folded the magazine in 1953 and launched two new magazines in its place - Science Stories and Universe Science Fiction. While Palmer referred to the former as being the successor to Other Worlds it folded after only four issues and he concentrated on Universe Science Fiction instead.
After ten issues, Palmer formally announced that Universe had expired, but immediately relaunched Other Worlds Science Stories with issue numbering continued directly from Universe AND a secondary issue numbering related to the 31 issues of the first run of Other Worlds.
In June 1957 the title changed to Flying Saucers from Other Worlds which, for four issues, alternated between a Flying Saucers emphasis and an Other Worlds emphasis; only three of which featured any fiction.

[]Our Own Magazine (about)
The magazine is a distinctly “worthy” one. It is subtitled “A Monthly Paper for Young People” and was “Issued by the Children’s Special Service Mission” in Paternoster Row in London, which is evidently a Christian institution of some kind. In 1915 the magazine was edited by T.B. Bishop, was profusely illustrated with a mixture of photographs and illustrations.
Each issue contained 10 or so vignettes with an overtly-Christian moral, followed by 2-3 pages on the scripture readings for each day of the month.

[]The Outer Limits: An Illustrated Review (about)
The Outer Limits was a television program that ran from September 16, 1963 to January 16, 1965. It offered 48 first run episodes (one episode ran for two weeks). The stories were both science fiction and horror. Each show featured a monster and some surprisingly good writing. This “magazine” was an affectionate backward glance at the show. The two issues contain a synopsis of the stories as well as commentaries on each, photos and interviews. There were supposed to be two more issues.
The first two issues contained the first 24 episodes in order. The last two were to contain the remainder. The best information available indicates that the last two issues were never published.
