The very thin, modest quality paper used in this magazine, was in part to mimmic the pulps of old. Unfortunately, use of this paper not only contributed to the short life of the magazines, it has resulted in age darkening of the page edges, since. Nonetheless, my copies of these magazines are very clean and sound. Because of the white border on this cover, it does show more smudging than the others. All have been stored, flat, in boxes, for many years. For this sale I have placed each issue in a plastic bag with cardboard stiffening. They were not stored in bags, so age darkening of pages has occurred. I will not describe minutia on the condition of each issue in these auction ads, but will respond to any questions about specific issues that I receive by email. Over the years, I dreamed of retiring to a house built to be a great library. As retirement approaches with alarming speed, I realize I now have different ideas of how I want to live. I am selling these magazines so they may be enjoyed by someone else, perhaps you. Prompt payment results in prompt shipping. You will receive an invoice by email within 24 hours of the end of auction (or your Buy It Now purchase). Unless I have received other instructions by email, I will ship all items within two days after your payment is received. My default shipping is by priority mail in the US. That would be $4.00 per issue. Save big on shipping when buying many issues. I can ship 1 to 4 (maybe 5) issues for the same $4.00, and 5 to 20 issues for $8.00. Please send me an email after you win your first auction, if you plan to bid on more and would like combined shipping. I will wait up to a week before shipping, if requested. Upon email request, I will also ship by media mail (which can be even cheaper, especially for small numbers of issues, but can take much longer to arrive). Insurance is optional, but available at $1.30 for the first $50. I do ship internationally on occasion, but you must email me, and have a good feedback rating. For a few magazines, shipping is generally around $US 8.00 to Europe, $US 7.00 to Canada and Mexico. If the magazines do not arrive in the condition I have described, I will cheerfully refund your purchase price, but not shipping; however, you must return the magazine(s) to me, at your expense, first. I prefer Paypal, but accept cashiers checks, money orders or personal checks (which must clear before I ship), or Western Union Bidpay for international orders. If no payment and no communication occur before one week (7 days), I will relist the item and enter a non-paying bidder report to Ebay. Remember, your bid is your contract, and this is internet time, so no one expects to wait around very long.

Auction Evaluations
Pulp Trader has a program which evaluates auction titles and descriptions, deciding what books and magazine issues are being offered. Listed below are its evaluations, shown as 1% to 99%. Naturally, this can never be as good as human judgement.

As a member, you can correct the stupid computer program. To change an existing evaluation, click on the Up or Down icon to its left. Up will raise the evaluation to 100% certainty. Down will lower it to 0%, meaning this auction is definitely not for that book.

To create a new evaluation, enter a Book ID# in the box above and press the Create button. You will then be shown the book data, and asked to verify the new evaluation. You must get the Book Key from a Book TOC page, or a Magazine Issue page.

After giving thumbs down to a few evaluations, or changing the item count, you can tell the program to re-evaluate by pressing the Re-Evaluate button. The program will re-evaluate the auction in a few minutes. All evaluations that are not 0 or 100 may change.

You can also set the exact number of Magazines and Books for auction. The Evaluation program sometimes gets this very wrong, especially when people mention their other auctions in the Description. When either field is blank, the Evaluation program uses its best guess as to how many items are for auction. You can set this to Zero, telling the program not to evaluate this auction. Or you can set it to some positive whole number to limit the number of evaluations.

At present, we do not evaluate auctions for books, so that field is not used. We will need it in the near future. The best way to use these fields is when an the program gives way too many evaluations. Just tell it how many items of each type are really for auction.
