Then July 1948 starts issues with the paperclip logo on the cover, and the checkmark on the title page. Apr/May 1949 is the reverse. Starting Aug 1949 neither logo is on the cover, but the paperclip is still on the TOC. See also Special Detective (1937) and Special Detective Crime Cases (1971?-1973?). This magazine may have had a different name from 1938-1945. There's really nothing connecting the 1937 issues except that the cover of Dec 1946 says "Tenth year of Publication".
