The Saturday Evening Post [v210 #42, April 16, 1938] (5¢, 116pp, 10½" x 13½", cover by J. C. Leyendecker) Fred Pohl has said that he was told by an editor at the SEP that they never ran any fantasy not by Stephen Vincent Benét. Well, I have found a number from 1900 to the early 1930s, and a few after WWII (looking at only two years or so.) Exclude those; times change.
