This title is listed by Mike Cook in MYSTERY, DETECTIVE, AND ESPIONAGE MAGAZINES as a retitling of {Bakka Magazine}, but closer examination shows that the magazine was still called {Bakka Magazine} and simply used {Black Box} as a subtitle on the seventh issue.

Published mostly mystery stories and some ghost stories. Material by Fergus Hume, J. Colne Dacre, Percy J. Barrow, E.M. Critchley and Erskine M. Hamilton.

Styled itself The Black Cat Penny Stories on the cover of the final two issues.
