Boys' story-paper. Usual mixture of school and adventure stories for both boys and girls. Also ran some wartime 'invasion' stories by John Tregellis (Sidney Gowing).

The second series came to a close briefly with issue 121 (19-Sep-1914) and was relaunched as Dreadnought and War Pictorial, which began with issue 1 (26-Sep-1914); the title switched again to Dreadnought Boys' War Weekly with issue 6 of the new series and continued the new numbering until issue 14 before reverting to the old Dreadnought numbering with issue 136 (2 January 1915) which continued uninterrupted until its close.
