The Popular MagazineTotal Issues: 612First three issues purported to be a boys' magazine but rapidly converted to a men's fiction pulp from Feb-1904. Success came with Haggard's "Ayesha" (1905); also published C.J. Cutcliffe Hyne, Morgan Robertson, H.G. Wells, Rafael Sabatini, Zane Grey; it carved a niche as a middle-of-the-road family magazine.
