This was not related to the U.S. magazine Verdict, but was in fact an Australasian edition of Manhunt Detective Story Monthly. The May 1955 issue (Vol. 1, No. 3) contains 8 of the 8 stories from the November 1954 issue of Manhunt, together with 1 story taken from the December 1954 issue.
