    Ares Special Edition [#2, 1984?] (quarto) []
This issue is undated apart for a copyright date of 1983. It certainly appeared some time between Summer 1983 (when Special Edition #1 was published) and Spring 1984 (when the magazine folded) and internal evidence suggests it might be closer to the latter.

    The Argonaut (1977):   (about)
The first three issues were titled Macabre. Initially a fanzine, it changed format dramatically with the fifth issue.

    Argonaut
    Title changed from The Argonaut.

    Semi-professional magazine.

    The Argosy (UK, 1865)   (about)
Intended as a serious monthly “of tales, travels, essays and poems,” but its early serialization of the sensation novel “Griffith Gaunt” by Charles Reade (about bigamy) made it a racier magazine than planned.
