Suspense
There were three different digest magazines simply called Suspense. The
first was an attempt to cash in on the popular CBS radio mystery show of the same
title, and ran for a mere 4 issues in 1946/47. The second had the same objective and,
by coincidence, also ran for only 4 issues, this time in 1951/1952.
The only one with any degree of success was the third, a British magazine founded in
1958 as a companion magazine to the British Argosy magazine. It ran for 32 issues before
being merged into Argosy.
