The United States Magazine

Little fiction until Jul-1856 then more prominent. Many by Seba Smith's wife, Mrs Elizabeth Oakes Smith. The new title in 1859 was filled almost entirely by the Smith/Oaksmith family.

It is known that Ray Palmer was the publisher from the first, but whether Bell is just a pseudonym for Palmer or a real person who acted as a "front" is not known. With #11 the title was changed to Other Worlds, which title had been used previously by Palmer.
