The United States Magazine

Little fiction until Jul-1856 then more prominent. Many by Seba Smith's wife, Mrs Elizabeth Oakes Smith. The new title in 1859 was filled almost entirely by the Smith/Oaksmith family.

The first two issues give George Bell as the editor and publisher. It is known that Ray Palmer was the publisher from the first, but whether Bell is just a pseudonym for Palmer or a real person who acted as a "front" is not known. With #11 the title was changed to Other Worlds, which title had been used previously by Palmer.
