Rex (UK)Country: UK
Subtitled "The measure of man", the magazine concentrated on interviews,
fashion and travel; sport replaced cars. The newsy-style column "Sexy
Rexy" was solely dedicated to naked women from around the globe as far
north as Scandanavia and as far east as Italy - almost every item
revolved around film or porn stars who took their clothes off. The
interviews were a mixed bag, the earlier ones being more substantial.
There was a lot of material about the upcoming Olympics in Munich and
the fashion pages disappeared fairly quickly. Issues & Index Sources

Rex Stout's Mystery MonthlyCountry: USTotal Issues: 9
Launched to cash in on the success of the paperback editions of three Nero Wolfe novels, Rex Stout's Mystery Monthly (initially under slightly different titles) was a digest-sized mystery magazine combining classic reprints and some original material. Stout was listed as editor-in-chief, and contributed an introduction to each issue, but otherwise had little involvement. Issues & Index Sources

Reynolds's Miscellany of Romance, General Literature, Science, and ArtCountry: UKTotal Issues: 86?+1087=1173?
Reynolds's Miscellany was one of the best, and one of the most historically
important, of the "penny dreadful" publications. It was almost the first of the
major illustrated fiction weeklies, preceded only by The London Journal.
Reynolds edited the Journal from 1845 to 1846, but quarreled with the proprietor
George Stiff and quit to start the Miscellany soon after, as competition. Issues & Index Sources
