        Reprint (Dembner 1989) anthology of 13 SF stories translated from the Japanese. Authors include Kobo Abe, Shinichi Hoshi, Ryo Hanmura, and Sako Komatsu. There is an introduction by Apostolou, and a foreword by consulting editor Grania Davis, who with Judith Merril was part of the group that translated many of the stories.         Associational non-fiction; reference. A collection of articles and commentary on Rushdie and The Satanic Verses controversy. A hardcover edition (-2494-8) was announced but not seen.




    Fifty-to-One by Charles Ardai (Subterranean Press, December 2008, 978-1-59606-236-8, $45.00, hc, cover by Glen Orbik)
        Novel celebrating “50 Years of Hard Case Crime”. Limited to 500 cloth bound copies signed by the author. Also available in a deluxe limited edition of 50 lavishly bound copies ($750), housed in a handmade traycase, with over twenty full-color signature pages for most of the Hard Case Crime Authors, each hand-tipped in front of the chapter that bears the title of one of their books.
